Really bad experience with the food. Not great at all.
Horrible service. Food was terrible. We’re out of drinks and didn’t tell us until after we ordered. Waited a while for our table despite many tables open and they tried to sit us outside even though our reservation was for main dining area. They brought us “champagne” for the mis-communication but it was cheap . Can’t believe this place is Michelin recommended, clearly a tourist trap meant for people that don’t know what good food and drinks taste like.
Honestly we didn’t enjoy the food at all, very bland and took ages. The menu sounded great and something for everyone veggie or meat eaters but it didn’t live up to what was written.
We had a poor experience all around last night. The vibe really took a dive when the server told us they were out of several entrees and rice. Their menu is not that large so eliminating these items was problematic for our group. We wanted to love it but it was a boozehound bust. And they didn’t ask my dog to order, I thought that was the fun part.
Boozehounds is a fun restaurant with great food. Our mistake was going on a Saturday morning when it was overtaken by at least six or seven huge bachelorette parties. It was overtaken-the-top noisy and of course service was extremely slow due to all the large parties. Wish I’d known before we went that Boozehounds is party central for bachelorettes on Saturday mornings! So let this be a warning to others.
The entire experience was underwhelming, expecting way more. The restaurant promotes a dog first experience and at the door has signage quoting “where dogs bring their humans” and the dog was an afterthought. The food was unfortunately quite undesirable for all of us and our party left feeling the best meal was our dog’s and he only ate half his plate. I’d skip this place if you’re only passing through Palm Springs.
The food is horrible slop. The service is terribly slow and rude. Don’t waste your money.
The things I loved about Boozehounds: 1. Super dog friendly. Not just putting down a plastic deli cup of water, they have a dog specific menu with this amazing meatloaf with carrots and peas that my dog ate right up 2. Our waiter Mateo was charming and friendly and very welcoming. 3. The location is great and the site looks beautiful. A nicer Instagram Palm Springs vibe. But there were several problems that will make our visit the first and only time we will ever go there. We ordered the Crudo, the Burrata, the pork belly as... read more
The food needs work the chicken adobo was nothing more than stewed chicken meat and plain rice it lacked flavor and any visual interest also it was devoid of proper seasoning or any complex flavor. The brussel sprouts were quite good . The servers didn’t seem to know their orders. And the upholstered bucket seats are not great for dining you sink down into them too much.
